Commercial Door Handle Removal
Once the screws are removed you can pull the handle off the door.
Commercial door handle removal. Use an allen wrench to remove the lever. Use wood putty to fill the holes left behind. Slide the cover plate or rose off of a door knob or lever handle to expose the screws. Schlage commercial handle removal.
If not rotate the faceplate until the underlying screws are accessible and use a phillips head screwdriver to remove them. Some lever handles have hexagonal shaped fasteners that require an allen wrench for removal. Depending on the door handle design the faceplate may be able to slide completely off. The door handle will now slide off.
While most handles are secured with exposed mounting screws you might need to check for a slot in the neck of the knob or lever. Remove simple push pull handles by removing the screws in each corner. Look for these fasteners along the base of the lever then use an allen wrench that fits snugly into the head of the fastener. Removing a door handle isn t always as straightforward as it seems.
Slide the cosmetic faceplate away from the door.
